Maurice's first collection of short stories, Photocopies of Heaven was published by Elastic Press, and was long-listed for the best single author anthology by the British Fantasy Society.
He has worked on over 30 video games, most often as a writer on titles such as The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, and Driver. He has co-written a book for Mercury Learning, Video Game Writing: from macro to micro, and contributed to two other publications on the subject.
He has also written for the BBC, co-writing several episodes of the BAFTA-nomninated TV show Alphablocks.
He holds a PhD in Creative Writing from Newcastle University.
